Kyle D. Hargraves: the Call of Cthulhu

Here comes again Kyle D.(Daniel) Hargraves, my first (and still alive!) "Call of Cthulhu" character
Kyle was born in London in the december of 1900 from quite wealthy and noble parents (his father is a baron), which owned a mansion in the borders of the city.
He attended a college in London which gave him the possibility to study abroad a couple of years, in germany, where he learnt the language and started to practice swordplay.
When he was around his twenties Kyle's parents introduced a young woman to him, Elisabeth Grey, daughter of family's acquaintances, with the hope of a future marriage.
Kyle found Elisabeth an interesting woman which shared many things with him, they fell in love with each other and get married on the next year (when she was 19 and he was 21) and went to live together, while Kyle continued his studies at the university, started with anthropology.
Their life together was an happy one, until Elisabeth started getting ill a couple of years after their marriage: the doctors couldn't find out the cause but she got worse, until she died at the age of 23.
It was a shock for Kyle, and some months after her death he decided to go away from home, accepting a work as assistant at the Cambridge University, where he carried on his studies, especially psychology in which he became fond of.
A few years later, while writing an anthropology article in Greenland, he came to know things that (maybe) he would have preferred to never know ^^"
But since he's curious he doesn't mind after all XD

E riecco Kyle D.(Daniel) Hargraves, il mio primo (ed ancora vivo!) personaggio del "Richiamo di Cthulhu)
Kyle è nato a Londra nel dicembre del 1900, da genitori nobili (suo padre è un barone) con modeste finanze, i quali possedevano una villa ai margini della città.
Frequentò un college a Londra che gli diede la possibilità di studiare un paio d'anni all'estero, in germania, dove imparò anche la lingua e iniziò a praticare scherma.
Quando arrivò intorno ai vent'anni, i genitori di Kyle gli presentarono una ragazza, Elisabeth Grey, figlia di amici di famiglia, con la speranza di un futuro matrimonio.
Kyle scoprì che Elisabeth era una ragazza interessante che condivideva molte cose con lui, si innamorarono l'uno dell'altra e l'anno successivo (a 21 anni lui e 19 lei) si sposarono ed andarono a vivere insieme, mentre Kyle continuava i suoi studi all'università, iniziati con antropologia.
La loro vita insieme era felice, fin quando Elisabeth comiciò a stare male un paio d'anni dopo il matrimonio: i dottori non riuscirono a capire cosa avesse ma lei continuava a peggiorare, finchè all'età di 23 anni morì.
Fu un duro colpo per Kyle, il quale qualche mese dopo la morte di sua moglie si allontanò di nuovo da casa per cambiare aria e andare avanti, accettando un lavoro da assistente all'università di Cambridge, dove continuò anche a studiare, soprattutto psicologia alla quale si appassionò.
Qualche anno dopo, mentre era impegnato a scrivere un articolo di antropologia in Groenlandia, venne a conoscenza di cose che (forse) avrebbe preferito non sapere ^^"
Ma dato che è curioso tutto sommato non gli dispiace XD
